Large Format Digital Printing in Chicago, IL

High-Resolution Prints for Signs, Graphics, Displays & More

Digital printing transfers a design, photo, or message directly to a print substrate using digital files rather than traditional plates or screens. It produces consistent, high-resolution output and supports full-color graphics, making it the standard printing method behind most modern signage, banners, and point-of-sale displays.

Within a sign company, digital printing is typically used to produce the printed graphic layer that goes into or onto another sign product, such as a banner face, a backlit awning panel, vinyl lettering for windows, or a vehicle wrap, rather than as a standalone paper-printing service.

What Pro-Care Sign's Digital Printing Supports

Pro-Care Sign's digital printing capability is used across several of its sign products:

Pro-Care Sign's digital printing is a sign production process, not a general commercial print service. It produces the printed graphic layer for signage products rather than items like business cards, brochures, or mailers.

Who we work with

Who Uses Digital Printing

Brands We Have Served

Digital printing runs through a large share of Pro-Care Sign's work, producing the printed graphics behind banners, awnings, window displays, and vehicle wraps for businesses across the Chicago area. From file to finish

How the Process Works

  1. File Review

Pro-Care Sign reviews your design file, or helps create one, to confirm it meets resolution and color requirements for the intended substrate.

  2. Substrate Selection

The right material is selected based on where the print will be used: banner vinyl, backlit vinyl, window film, wall vinyl, or vehicle wrap film.

  3. Proofing

A digital proof is produced for approval before printing.

  4. Printing

The graphic is printed at full resolution using large-format digital printing equipment.

  5. Finishing and Delivery

The printed material is finished (cut, laminated, or mounted as needed) and delivered, installed, or applied depending on the product.

Turnaround from approved file to completed print typically runs two to five weeks, depending on the substrate and the finishing required.

Have a design ready or need help creating one? Send us your project details and we'll advise on the right substrate and finish for your application.

Alternatives to Digital Printing

If digital printing is not the right fit for a particular project, run length, or aesthetic, these are the most common alternatives:

Option How It Compares
Screen Printing Better suited to large runs of a single design on the same material, such as bulk t-shirts or repeated signage. Less cost-effective for one-off or short-run graphics.
Sign Painting Hand-painted lettering and graphics. A traditional alternative for a specific aesthetic, rather than a photographic or full-color print.
Sandblasted / Routed Signs Carved dimensional lettering rather than a printed graphic. Used when a textured, non-printed look is the goal.
